A GROUP set up in Harlow three years ago to help support disbaled children and adults and their families has been granted charitable status. Upwards with Downs started in 2011 by two mums, Cristina Griffiths and Audry Soyam. Both Cristina's youngest daughter, Francesca, 3, and Audry's son, Matthew, 3, have Down's Syndrome.

"We are now also affiliated to the Down's Syndrome Association so our details are on their website ad a contact for new parents. It means that we will hopefully attract more members and be in close contact with the DSA to keep us fully "up-to-date".
