About Us
Upwards with Downs is a registered Charity based in Harlow. We offer support to adults and children with Down syndrome throughout Essex, Hertfordshire and adjoining counties.
The charity was formed 2011 by parents of children with Down syndrome and we currently have over 90 families who attend our activities.

Upwards with Downs provides various activities and services for our members such as;

We still want to do more! Our next step is to provide information packs to local hospitals to help new parents and to provide training to professionals in order for them to be better informed when a baby is diagnosed with Down syndrome.
We also want to provide monthly weekend coffee mornings for all our families to meet and offer support and to provide support to our young adults during their transition from education into employment.
Activities like these help our members to progress and reach their full potential. Our monthly discos are for everyone with Down syndrome and their families and it provides a safe and fun environment for all our members, a place to socialise and make new friends.
